It is truly amazing that with the 100 years anniversary of the Somme being within the past year that anyone can consider the times before the European Union (EEA/EC/EU) to be a working political system for Europe. It clearly was not. History is punctuated very clearly with white crosses dotted all over graveyards in the European landscape that what the states did before the EU did not work.
That the grass seems to be greener on the other side of some political divide of the Leavers’ own making is not an excuse for Leavers to walk roughshod over our human rights and they have no right to bury my children nor anyone else’s children in that green grass because of Leavers’ desire for some form of political independence.
